The Mid-Hudson Library System Operations department is seeking a part-time Material Handler for approximately 15-20 hours per week. Requirements of the position include but are not limited to organizing the delivery operations area, unloading boxes from delivery vans, sorting library materials to appropriate bins, strong attention to detail, ability to follow directions, work within a team environment, meet the physical demands of the position such as being on your feet, walking, bending, crouching, using hands, reaching, and ability to lift 50lbs. Position is five days per week Monday through Friday beginning between 10:00 – 10:30 AM until mid-afternoon. Hourly wage is $19.50/hr. Paid holidays and vacation time.

Unloads, organizes and sorts materials in System delivery operations.
Unloads boxes from delivery vans; sorts materials to appropriate library box; organizes delivery operations area for next day’s delivery of materials for sorting.
Participates in and promotes ‘green’ initiatives including, but not limited to, proper recycling and energy conservation.
