In this role, you will be directly responsible for high-volume logistics, including loading/unloading bulk tank trucks, unloading railcars, and moving train cars within our railyard. The ideal candidate prioritizes a strong sense of personal responsibility to maintain a zero-incident safety culture while meeting production deadlines.

Bulk Shipping & Receiving Logistics

  • Railcar Unloading: Connect, monitor, and disconnect railcar transfer lines (pumps, hoses, and manifolds) to safely transfer bulk materials into storage silos or tanks.
  • Train Car Movement: Assist in or directly execute the safe switching, spotting, and moving of train cars within the facility railyard using specialized switching equipment.
  • Inventory Handling: Operate heavy machinery, including forklifts, trackmobiles, and yard trucks, to transport materials throughout the plant.
Safety, Quality & Compliance
  • Regulatory Inspections: Perform and document daily regulatory, environmental, and facility safety inspections in accordance with OSHA, DOT, and EPA standards.
  • PPE Maintenance: Conduct routine checks on personal protective equipment (PPE) and emergency station gear (eyewash stations, safety showers) to ensure 100% compliance and operational readiness.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Follow strict procedural checklists for hazardous material handling and spill prevention.
Personal Responsibility & Professional Ownership
  • Safety First Mindset: Take personal ownership of your safety and the safety of your team by actively identifying hazards and stopping unsafe work operations immediately.
  • Accountability: Maintain accurate, legible paperwork and digital logs for all material transfers, seal numbers, and weight verifications.
  • Dependability: Arrive on time for shifts, manage tasks with minimal supervision, and take pride in maintaining a clean, organized work area (5S standard).
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial material handling, chemical processing, or railyard logistics preferred.
  • Proven experience handling bulk liquid/dry transfers via tank trucks and railcars preferred.
  • Ability to pass certification for forklifts and specialized railyard switching equipment.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb railcar ladders, work at heights, and operate outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Strong reading comprehension and mathematical skills to verify shipping manifests and calculate tank capacities.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

  • To be surrounded by an inclusive team who is collaborative and committed to the achievement of the company.
