Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Packaging Material Handler for our Pelzer, SC facility. You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials, assist with receiving, stocking, and staging, and help ensure accurate material flow across production lines.

Responsibilities include tracking movements with scanners, preparing kits, loading/unloading shipments, and maintaining a safe, organized workspace. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Basic computer or scanner knowledge for inventory tracking.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Material Movement: Transport materials and components to and from workstations, storage areas, or loading docks using FORKLIFTS, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
• Inventory Control: Track material movement using scanners or inventory management systems; report discrepancies or shortages.
• Receiving & Stocking: Assist with receiving incoming shipments, checking for accuracy, and stocking materials in designated locations.
• Kitting & Staging: Prepare materials or kits for production based on work orders or pick lists.
• Load & Unload: Safely load and unload trucks and containers as needed.
• Safety & Housekeeping: Follow all safety policies and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
• Team Collaboration: Communicate with production, shipping, and warehouse teams to ensure accurate and timely material flow.
• Track outbound shipments from preparation through shipment.
• Pack shipments that adhere to the work instructions provided.
• Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and computer proficiency.

What You Bring

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in a warehouse or manufacturing setting where safety equipment is required.
• This position may require standing, lifting, walking, bending, and operating equipment throughout the shift.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, weekends, or overtime as needed.
• There is NO climate-control. Only fans. No air-conditioning.
