Job summary

S&D Coffee in Concord, NC is seeking a packaging support team member to ensure materials are available for the packing line and to move finished goods to appropriate locations within the warehouse.

You will communicate with packers to plan material needs, execute line changeovers, perform basic machine adjustments, and maintain accurate quality checks and paperwork. The role also includes sanitation tasks and following pallet patterns to stack finished goods safely.

Qualifications

• Experience in packaging or material handling preferred.
• Ability to read basic line sheets and BOMs.
• Attention to detail in quality checks and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with packers and other material handlers to plan daily material needs.
• Execute material changeovers on selected machines during the shift.
• Understand the function of a line sheet and BOM thoroughly.
• Stack finished goods cases onto pallets following required pallet patterns.
• Make simple mechanical adjustments or repairs (belts, rollers) as needed.
• Clean work area, machines and equipment to support packing operations.
• Complete quality checks and paperwork accurately.
• Perform master sanitation tasks as assigned by Group Leader/Supervisor.
• Carry out additional duties directed by Group Leader/Supervisor.

To support packaging personnel with materials to complete the packaging process and move finished goods to locations within the warehouse.

Job Functions

• Communicate with packers and other material handlers to plan their upcoming material needs for the day.
• Execute material changeovers on selected machines frequently throughout the shift.
• Understand the function of a line sheet and BOM thoroughly.
• Stack finished goods cases onto pallets following required pallet patterns.
• Make simple mechanical adjustments or repairs, such as realigning belts, rethreading machine or replacing rollers.
• Clean work area, machines and equipment in order to aid the packer operators.
• Accurately complete all required quality checks and paperwork.
• Perform master sanitation tasks as assigned by their Group Leader/Supervisor.
• Perform additional duties directed from the Group Leader/Supervisor.
