Job summary

Thunderbird is seeking a Material Handler to manage material flow in a manufacturing setting in Elgin, IL. You will ensure timely movement of raw materials, components, and finished products to support production schedules.

You will read schedules, locate and move materials, and maintain clean work areas while following safety guidelines and labels. This role requires physical effort and reliable teamwork.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from coworkers.
• Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Responsibilities

• Read production schedules and determine material requirements.
• Move materials to designated areas to meet production needs.
• Identify materials with proper labels and tags.
• Clean work areas, machines, and equipment to assist operators.
• Load loose materials into hoppers and containers.
• Mix materials according to product requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
