Job summary

Piper Products, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to oversee inbound, storage and outbound movement of materials at our Wausau, WI facility. You will contribute to production schedules to optimize inventory and ensure secure, properly identified stock for delivery.

The role requires a high school diploma with 1 year of related experience, the ability to lift 25–50 pounds frequently, and strong time management, organization and communication skills. 1st shift, on-site work with early hours.

Responsibilities

• Prepare boxes for packing and shipping, stack full boxes on a skid, and operate box sealers proficiently.
• Identify different product cartons, product numbers, date code boxes, and detect any issues with products in boxes.
• Report abnormalities to the lead packer or supervisor and learn identification for packing.
• Proper making of skids and crates.
• Recognize and identify materials and how to package them appropriately.
• Operate hydraulic jack lift or powered industrial equipment to move finished goods and other materials.
• Plastic wraps and or band cartons to pallet and crate.
• Mark packages with product identification, order number, address, or other identifying data on visible portion of bundle or shipping ticket.
• Count boxes on skids to assure that the quantity is correct according to the product number before it is wrapped.
• Perform basic math with two-digit numbers and use American weight, volume, and distance units.
• Regular and punctual attendance; consistently adhere to the assigned work schedule.
• Comply with all GMP requirements and adhere to all CFS safety policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
