Job summary

Marquis Energy LLC is seeking a Material Handler for night shifts at our Hennepin, Illinois facility. You will handle unloading, loading, and maintenance tasks across grain operations, ethanol loading, and rail yard management while following strict safety procedures.

The role requires flexibility for varying hours and outdoor work in all seasons, with training provided to operate forklifts, loaders, and other equipment. Benefits include comprehensive medical plans and a 401(k) plan.

Responsibilities

• Unload corn deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Clean, troubleshoot and perform light maintenance on receiving pits.
• Respond to equipment issues impacting production or safety.
• Manage silo levels and perform monthly cleanouts.
• Operate front-end loader; inspect and service daily.
• Load DDG, WDGS and MDGS onto trucks with front-end loader.
• Operate locomotive; inspect and report issues.
• Load ethanol onto railcars per DOT and FRA requirements.
• Manage rail yard and tank farm per production schedule.
• Take samples to laboratory for analysis and unload chemical deliveries.
• Attend required additional training for daily tasks.
• Frequent equipment use: forklift, man lift, scissor lift, street sweeper, skid-steer.

Duties & Responsibilities

Understand and adhere to all company safety procedures and participate in regular periodic Environmental, Health and Safety training.

Ensure all corn deliveries are unloaded safe and efficiently. Perform necessary cleaning, troubleshooting, and light maintenance on all receiving pits.

Respond rapidly to grain equipment issues negatively impacting production and/or safety.

Manage silo levels and execute monthly cleanouts.

Operate front-end loader safe and efficiently. Perform routine inspections, light maintenance, and refer defects or repairs to the supervisor. Clean and service daily.

Load DDG, WDGS and MDGS onto trucks with front-end loader.

Operate the locomotive safe and efficiently. Perform routine inspections, light maintenance, and refer defects or repairs to supervisor.

Load ethanol onto railcars following all DOT and FRA requirements.

Manage rail yard by moving and organizing all railcars according to our shipping schedule.

Manage tank farm by transferring, certifying, and loading ethanol in accordance with our production schedule.

Removes samples of materials, labels with identifying information, and takes samples to laboratory for analysis.

Receive and unload chemical deliveries.

Attend Additional Training Required To Perform Daily Tasks.

Frequent use of equipment to include forklift, man lift, scissor lift, street sweeper and skid-steer.

Qualifications

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

Able to work a flexible work schedule with varying days and hours, including call-ins.

Able to work outdoors in all seasons and work at heights.

Able to climb ladders and stairs and lift up to 100lbs

Compensation & Benefits

The starting wage for this position is $30/hour, with potential adjustments based on skills, experience and qualifications.
