UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler for the night shift in Buffalo, NY. The role focuses on warehouse cleanliness, accurate loading/unloading, and following safety guidelines to keep production moving.

Shifts run 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM on rotating teams, with weekends and holidays on rotation. No prior experience required; training provided. You will read work orders, label materials, and prepare items for shipment.

Qualifications

• Entry level role with no experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders.
• Knowledge of the custom store fixture industry and receiving.
• Ability to clearly identify product from packaging labels.

Responsibilities

• Accurately count and record quantities so proper inventory transactions can be made.
• Identify materials moved match descriptions on associated documentation.
• Ensure proper labeling disciplines are followed and product numbers are up to date.
• Ensure bulk packed materials are properly boxed, taped, wrapped, packed, banded, shrink wrapped or otherwise to ensure safe transportation.
• Locate, identify, label and pick required materials as identified on printed pick lists.
• Picking and pulling daily orders without the use of a forklift.
• Use a camera to document inbound and outbound load conditions and quality issues.
• Ability to use basic hand tools for opening or closing crates and completing basic assembly tasks.
• Read and understand written Pick lists, etc.

Individuals are in charge of making sure warehouse is autocleaning production is maintained properly in the racks. Load, unload and move product and materials by hand, on carts, pallets, skid and pallet jacks following company Safety guidelines and best practices.**Schedule: Employees are assigned to one of four rotating shift teams. A and B Shifts work 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, while C and D Shifts work 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
