Job summary

DW Steel is seeking a Material Handler for our Omaha facility. You will receive materials, prepare them for painting or other operations, and move items through various stages.

You will load finished products, maintain organized storage, and support production flow with timely deliveries to assigned areas. Qualified candidates read and follow complex instructions, operate forklifts, manage inventory, and work under safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate boom lifts, forklifts, skid steers, and carts to move materials.
• Move processed material to designated locations as trained.
• Keep material storage locations and racks organized and safe.
• Coordinate with painters/blasters and deliver to designated locations on call.
• Be courteous and present a good image to customers and suppliers.
• Follow all safety rules and policies; attend toolbox meetings.
• Perform other duties as directed by Foreman or Lead person.
• Adhere to inventory procedures and maintain organization.

## Description**$5,000 Hiring Bonus!****Pr****imary Purpose of this Position:*** Receive incoming materials from customers or delivery drivers.* Prepare materials for paint or other operations. Includes grinding, hand sanding, chemical wash and rinse, hanging, and other preparation as directed.* Place and retrieve materials from ovens and paint areas. Package and load finished product.* Keep materials organized and in proper location to enhance production flow throughout manufacturing. Other duties/tasks assigned.**E****ssential Job Functions:**1. Employee is expected to **work** 40 hours a week. However, hours including overtime and weekends may be required based on Drake-Williams Steel's needs.2. **Hear** sufficiently to be aware of safety issues3. **Visual ability** to read and interpret shop drawings.
