nVent is seeking a Shipping Supervisor to ensure uninterrupted production flow and to provide problem support and on-the-job training for employees to meet daily department goals. You will coordinate with support resources to resolve issues and drive lean improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3–5 years shipping experience preferred.
• Computer experience with Windows Word, Excel, Outlook, MACPAC and the Internet.
• Knowledge of safety policies and procedures, and ability to promote compliance.
• Ability to communicate job expectations and coach staff to meet results.

Responsibilities

• Provide backup to the Shipping Supervisor for all assigned areas.
• Lead Lean activities (MDI, 5S, Kaizen).
• Drive waste reduction through Lean methods.
• Operate equipment in the area (CRTs, forklifts).
• Coordinate employee training and onboarding.
• Move material and information timely and accurately within the area.
• Foster continuous improvement and recognize exceptional work.
• Ensure proper startup, shutdown, and break times; maintain paperwork.
• Communicate issues to other shifts and support functions.
• Report safety hazards or incidents promptly and provide detailed incident reports.
