Job summary

Amcor is seeking an experienced Material Handler for its Phoenix, AZ facility to support the Print Team and maintain material flow. You will move, label, and stock materials, operate pallet jacks and conveyors, and help keep presses supplied while following GMP and safety policies.

This full-time role offers bi-annual bonus potential and a starting hourly rate of $19.00, with opportunities for growth within Amcor's global packaging organization.

Qualifications

• Ability to calculate parts requirements.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to stand/walk for 10 consecutive hours.
• Ability to read, write and record in quality and production records.
• Ability to use hands to grasp, grip and manipulate boxes and product to inspect and pack
• Ability to work with and around heavy machinery and equipment
• Minimal lifting capabilities of 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Move materials to and from storage areas to manufacturing areas.
• Identify and label materials, record location to ensure accurate inventory.
• Palletize and record finished goods and prepare for warehouse or shipping.
• Operate metal detector and conveyor system.
• Plan ahead and stock printing production floor with materials to keep presses running.
• Operate electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack.
• Follow safety rules and GMP/HACCP practices.
