Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of experience preferred.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and forklift operation.
• Strong organizational, inventory and accounting skills.
• Ability to read, decode, and decipher freight coding; operate hand truck and forklift; tolerate inclement weather when needed.

Responsibilities

• Load inbound and outbound freight to/from vehicles and containers.
• Unload containers and sort by size and destination.
• Read, decode, and decipher freight coding to expedite movement and tracing.
• Reconcile driver pick up and delivery manifests.
• Label, weigh, and dimension freight.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of dock/work area.
• Record damaged shipments and misrouted freight on reports.
• Maintain inventory rotation and inspection of warehouse freight.
• Complete required documentation and other duties as needed.
• Support other duties to ensure warehouse operations run smoothly.

Role Summary

Responsible for loading and unloading freight accurately, inventory control, rotation and inspection and other warehouse related duties.

Principal Responsibilities

Skills and Competencies

(The following minimum requirements are normal guidelines and should not constrain the advancement of otherwise qualified personnel):

This is an intermediate level position. Good interpersonal skills required. High school diploma or equivalent required. Generally prefer 1-3 years of experience. Must be familiar with OSHA regulations, able to operate a variety of equipment such as a forklift and a computer, and have strong organizational, inventory and accounting skills. Must be able to read, decode, and decipher freight coding; operate hand truck and forklift; and in some cases perform tasks in inclement weather conditions.Physical requirements include, but are not limited to pushing, pulling, lifting varying weights up to 50+lbs.

For this position, the expected base pay range is $22.50 - $22.50 . Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
