Job summary

Mohawk Industries seeks a Production Operator to support daily manufacturing on the shop floor. You will monitor safety, assist with shift reports, and help maintain a clean workstation while facilitating efficient changeovers.

You will troubleshoot minor equipment issues, ensure timely production runs, and help uphold safety standards. The role requires flexibility across shifts and the ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

Qualifications

• High-School or GED diploma preferred.
• 1 year of experience operating production machinery preferred.
• Flexible for all shifts and able to lift up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain personal safety and monitor safety of others on shift.
• Provide team guidance on daily tasks and ensure shift reports are completed.
• Complete shift reports and communicate issues to management promptly.
• Keep department housekeeping up to standard and ensure tasks are finished on shifts.
• Troubleshoot and report machine malfunctions to maintenance.
• Ensure equipment is inspected and repaired as needed during shifts.
• Coordinate efficient changeovers and minimize defects.
• Ensure production runs for all styles are prepared and reported if issues arise.
• Ensure PPE availability for the shift (gloves, safety glasses, etc.).

Nonessential Skills and Experience:

• 1 year of experience in the operation of production machinery and monitoring products preferred
