Job summary

Arkema SA is seeking a Material Handler to efficiently receive, store, and distribute materials within the facility. The role emphasizes accurate inventory, safe operations, and cross-team collaboration across operations, warehouse, and production.

Responsibilities include receiving materials, labeling, transferring finished goods, and preparing samples for QC, plus thorough shipping tasks and PPE-compliant safety practices in a high-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School graduate or GED.
• One to two years manufacturing experience.
• Forklift and high-rise experience.
• One to two years warehouse experience.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft platforms and SAP.
• Experience in a chemical/manufacturing environment and hazards.
• Exposure to moving parts, powered trucks, hot work or steam, heights, sharp tools, slip hazards.
• Indoor manufacturing with possible outdoor exposure.
• Possible exposure to dust, chemicals, odors, and atmospheric conditions.
• Safety protocols when handling hazardous substances.
• Must obtain high-rise certification and training in regulations.
• Use of PPE and protective clothing.
• Extended hours may be required.
• Noise levels below OSHA limits.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload non-bulk raw materials, STOs, and COAs; verify quantities.
• Receive materials into the system; label with barcodes; place in correct locations.
• Transfer finished products from production to storage.
• Prepare samples for Quality Control testing.
• Pull products from storage using pick lists.
• Prepare products for shipment; cap, band, label as required.
• Print shipping documents and load shipments; verify material, quantities, carrier.
• Repackage or relabel products as needed and complete transactions.
• Take product samples per shipping instructions.
• Perform equipment safety checks and use PPE.
• Participate in Emergency Response Team duties and Safety programs.
• Report HES incidents and assist investigations.
• Use warehouse management barcode scanners for tracking.
• Assist with sample prep, bottling, inventory cycle counts, and other plant operations.
