Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Mississippi is seeking a Material Handler II to support warehouse operations, move materials, build packaging, and verify orders with a handheld scanner.

Two shifts are available: 1st shift 8:00am–5:00pm and 2nd shift 3:00pm–11:30pm, Monday–Friday, with potential overtime. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of warehouse experience and knowledge of WMS; a high school diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS).

Responsibilities

• Support operations by moving materials and inventory throughout the facility.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Support operations by moving materials and inventory throughout the facility
• Construct packaging boxes and pick merchandise
• Verify orders, label products, and utilize a handheld scanner

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• 1 year of experience working in a warehouse environment
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS)

It'd be great if you also have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of experience as a material handler
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, with possible overtime when needed

This job requires the ability to:

• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights
• Sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time
• Bend, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull
• Handle or manage tools or equipment
• Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
