Job summary

Kolpak in Parsons, TN seeks a Material Handler II responsible for moving and loading/unloading materials per procedures to ensure quality, safety, and productivity standards. Reporting to the Supervisor, you will use hand trucks, hoists, and other equipment, inspect products, complete electronic paperwork, and uphold 5S and safety requirements in a non-temperature-controlled environment.

You will contribute to efficient production, shipping, and waste management while maintaining accuracy in

Qualifications

• 1–3 years experience required
• Basic math and reading comprehension skills
• Must be able to meet forklift certification requirements for shipping/receiving
• Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and effectively
• Stand and walk on concrete up to 100% of shift
• Lift/carry up to 50 lbs, and over 50 lbs with assistance
• Work in non-temperature-controlled environments

Responsibilities

• Move materials using hand trucks, hoists, and other equipment for production, shipping, or waste management
• Operate hand tools (electric and pneumatic)
• Construct shipping containers and prepare products for shipment
• Inspect products for conformance to quality and customer requirements
• Complete and maintain electronic paperwork and checklists
• Maintain 5S standards and department housekeeping
• Adhere to Quality Management, Safety Management, and Kolpak Code of Conduct
• Participate in safety training and address safety issues with management
