Job summary

Travero, a subsidiary of Alliant Energy, invites applications for a Material Handler II at our Iowa facility. You will operate bulk material handling equipment, load/unload trailers and rail cars, and ensure safe, accurate movement of product inside and outside the warehouse.

The role requires forklift and heavy equipment experience, familiarity with WMS/ERP systems, and the ability to work in temperature extremes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 5 years’ experience operating a forklift inside a warehouse facility and outside yard.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment such as wheel loader, conveyors, boom lifts, etc.
• Previous experience working with a warehouse management system (WMS) or enterprise resource planning (ERP).

Responsibilities

• Operates bulk material handling equipment, such as conveyors, boom lifts, wheel loader and sky track.
• Loads and unloads trailers and rail cars in a safe manner as to not damage product or physical assets of Travero or customer.
• Spots and loads or unloads railcars, and trucks/trailers.
• Operates train unloading equipment, switches railcars, walks railcars prior to movement and aligns track switches.
• Checks and cleans tracks of obstructions that could cause derailment.
• Follows internal protocol for inventory accuracy and customer compliance.
