JOB TITLE: Material Handler 2
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
SUPERVISION: Reports to the Shift Leader
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for ensuring the unloading and delivery of all raw materials to specified areas in the warehouse and loading finished product onto shipping trucks, while operating a forklift. A Material Handler 2 is certified in all Material Handler 1 responsibilities and will assist in execution of this work as needed. The ability to manage a fast-paced environment where quality, safety and productivity are key competencies is required. This role is a safety sensitive position and is subject to an increased frequency of random drug testing and stricter safety requirements. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment as assigned is required.
