Job summary

BD, a leading global medical technology company, is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Holdrege, NE to support shipping, receiving and material handling operations. You will operate forklifts and yard/box trucks, and drive company trucks between plant buildings while maintaining accurate stock records and safety compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma and English proficiency; forklift certification within 3 months, CDL preferred, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Forklift Operation (including slip sheet) – Must be able to obtain certification within 3 months.
• Yard Truck and Box Truck Operation – must be able to operate within a 3-month period.
• CDL, preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to speak, read and write English.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Computer skills (SAP, Excel, Word preferred) - Basic.

Responsibilities

• Performs general warehouse functions involved with shipping and receiving, delivery of raw materials and finished goods.
• Operation of material handling equipment (including forklift and slip sheet, yard truck and box truck).
• Drive company truck(s), including box truck, yard truck and trailer between all plant buildings and warehouse.
• Assist operator in the loading of manually loaded and unloaded products.
• Prepare product for manual and/or automated processing.
• Back trailers to loading docks.
• Open and close trailer/container doors.
• Load sterilized product on trailers.
• Use the load sheet.
• Perform the daily yard check.
• Place temporary or shipping seals on trailers.
• Works with management to identify and eliminate safety hazards.
