Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Des Moines, WA is seeking a Material Handler for first shift (Mon–Fri, 6:00am–2:30pm). You’ll support operations by moving material and inventory throughout the facility, using hand trucks, conveyors or other equipment.

Your day includes packing, scanning, kitting or counting products, verifying orders and labeling with a handheld scanner, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Ability to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedural documents.

Responsibilities

• Move material and inventory throughout the facility.
• Use hand trucks, conveyors or other material handling equipment.
• Pack, scan, kit or count products.
• Verify orders, label products and use a handheld scanner.
• Adhere to the 7S program.
• Maintain a clean environment at all times.
• Work in a safe manner that protects you and your team members.
