Job summary

Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries, is seeking an intermediate-level Material Handler for 1st shift in Sunnyvale, Texas. The role involves stocking, checking, wrapping, loading, and unloading materials, with an entry pay rate of $20.78/hour and a progression to $21.90/hour after 3 months.

Typical shift is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Requires forklift certification and prior warehouse experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Sit-Down Forklift Operator preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of distribution/warehouse experience.
• 6 months of stand‑up forklift/sit-down forklift/order picker experience required.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial trucks to pick orders and convey to packing/shipping areas.
• Perform warehouse duties: pick/assemble orders, check outbound orders, inventory checks, restocking and labeling.
• Receive/unload inbound material, stock material, process returns, notify damaged shipments for freight claims.

Dal-Tile is currently seeking an intermediate-level Material Handler to join our TEAM! As a material handler, we need someone experienced in stocking, checking, wrapping, loading, and unloading materials.

Pay Rate:

• Entry Rate: $20.78
• 3 months Progression Increase: $21.90

Shift: 1st shift

• Monday - Friday

8:00AM-4:30PM

Primary Objective:
Operates various powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and conveys orders to the packing station or the shipping area.

Major Function and Scope:

• Performs a variety of warehouse duties such as pulling/assembling customer orders, checking outbound orders for accuracy/completeness, inventory stock checks, restocking and labeling vendor products, maintaining displays (tools, caulk, etc.), moving, storing, and replenishing materials, and conducting daily cycle counts.
• Performs receiving duties such as receiving and unloading inbound material, processing inbound shipments, stocking material, processing customer returns, and notifying management of damaged shipments for freight claims.
• Maintains a clean and organized facility by sweeping, trash removal, restroom and general office maintenance, etc.
• Maintains a safe working environment by obeying all safety rules as outlined in the Safety Program and by reporting all accidents, unsafe conditions, and acts to Management.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent experience; Certified Sit-Down Forklift Operator.
• 1 or more years of previous distribution/warehouse experience.
• Must have a minimum of 6 months of previous stand‑up forklift , sit down forklift and order picker equipment experience. No experience required for pallet jack.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Accurate measurement capability.
• Ability to understand and speak basic English.
• Ability to work safely and conscientiously.
• Must be Dal‑Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
