Supply Chain Team

Rocket Lab’s Supply Chain team is responsible for the flow of all materials, products, and components through the business. They set up the assembly kits that enable technicians to put together our Electron rockets, manage inventory, look after shipping and receiving, manage direct and indirect procurement, and ensure all materials are compliant and up to standard.

Material Handler II

Based onsite at Rocket Lab’s global headquarters in Long Beach, CA, the Material Handler is tasked with all aspects of material management from receiving, inventory, counting, and kitting, inwards and outwards goods. The role maintains inventory accuracy, customer satisfaction, and just‑in‑time fulfillment.

What You’ll Get To Do
  • Receive inwards goods on a FIFO basis and ensure SOPs for processing are adhered to.
  • Ensure accurate and on‑time delivery of components and production kits in accordance with production and transfer order plans.
  • Ensure supply of Kanban materials to the shop floor is sustained.
  • Manage raw material movements and replenishment.
  • Follow SOPs, maintain stock point accuracy, and investigate discrepancies.
  • Participate in a daily cycle counting program.
  • Maintain FIFO and stock rotation and ensure accurate stock point records.
  • Perform additional duties as reasonably required.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications
  • High school diploma and at least 2 years of experience.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.
Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, or heavy manufacturing.
  • Experience with serial and lot controlled materials.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Prior experience in a high‑paced, rapid growth environment.
  • Team orientation and ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Additional Requirements
  • Vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus.
  • Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, operate computer keyboard and controls, and communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Must be physically able to commute to buildings.
  • Occasional exposure to dust, fumes, and moderate noise levels.
Base Pay and Benefits

Base Pay Range (CA Only): $20,000 - $30,000 per year. Salary is part of a total rewards package that may include: company equity, robust medical plans (HMO, PPO, HSA), dental and vision coverage, 3 weeks paid vacation, 5 days sick leave, 11 paid holidays, flexible spending and dependent care accounts, paid parental leave, disability and life insurance, and a 401k plan with company match.
