Job summary

Trojan Battery Company is seeking a Material Handler II (2nd Shift) to locate materials, pull items from trucks, and store them properly for shipment. You will help maintain accurate inventory using RF scanners and ensure safe, efficient distribution of activities on the production floor.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, basic English, and basic math skills. Training includes power equipment certification and adherence to FIFO and 5S standards within a highly safety-conscious

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED or greater required.
  • Basic English proficiency to interpret work and apply safety instructions.
  • Basic Math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).

Responsibilities

  • Distribute activities in alignment with ISO 9001 standards and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Move materials between production lines and storage to support efficient manufacturing.
  • Track material movement and inventory changes accurately.
  • Operate machinery and perform minor adjustments or setup.
  • Use RF scanners to record material transfers and quantities moved or handled.
  • Complete reports or inspection sheets as instructed.
  • Stock, move, arrange, and rotate items following FIFO policies.
  • Identify products and attach labels to materials or pallets.
  • Complete power equipment certification.
  • Support 5S and lead activities, stage orders for shipment according to loading patterns.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Trojan battery is looking for a Material Handler II (2nd Shift) to join our company.

You will be responsible for finding material on shelves, pulling materials off the trucks and putting them in their proper storage spot, wrapping products and making them ready for shipment. As the Material Handler, you will need to be an effective problem solver and team player. If you are ready to get charged in your career, Trojan Battery company is looking for you.

THE DAY-TO-DAY
  • Distribution of activities that are conducted in accordance with International Standards Organization (ISO) 9001 while maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Timely and efficient movement of materials to and from the production line to facilitate an efficient manufacturing process.
  • Assure material movement and inventory changes are appropriately and precisely tracked.
  • Operate machinery and perform minor adjustments or setup.
  • Utilize RF scanner to maintain accurate inventory transfers from/to warehouse and/or manufacturing plant and to record number of units of material moved or handled during shift.
  • Complete reports or inspection sheets as instructed.
  • Stock, move, arrange, and rotate items in accordance with operating instructions (Adherence to FIFO Policies and Protocols).
  • Complete appropriate forms relating to stock description, quantity, unit of measure, and the labeling requirements for incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Ability to use hand and/or power tools, such as (hammers, cutting saws, nail gun, etc.)
  • Identify different products and attached identifying tags or label to materials or mark information on pallets.
  • Successfully complete power equipment certification.
  • Follow and maintain Lead activities and 5S.
  • Stage multiple orders for shipment according to appropriate loading patterns, weight distribution, method of shipment, etc.
  • Coordinate, process, and ship hazardous waste, scrap, etc., in accordance with regulatory requirements.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma, GED or greater required.
  • Basic English proficiency to interpret work and apply safety instructions.
  • Basic Math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
