The production floor relies on this position to provide the right parts and materials at the right time to meet on-time-delivery goals.### Crane Aerospace & Electronics supplies critical systems and components to the aerospace and defense markets. You’ll join a business with a long track record of engineering excellence, set in the wonderful town of Burbank filled with great community atmosphere, schools, weather and no shortage of entertainment.### ### Start the next chapter of your career with Crane Aerospace & Electronics!### Essential Functions:* ### Maintain accurate inventory control by following established work instructions and processes.* ### Complete the cycle count process for Value Stream; Escalate variances in counts as needed* ### Perform root cause investigation on variances in cycle counts* ### Move materials to and from receiving, production areas and shipping by hand, using sorting* ### bins and carts, or other equipment* ### Consult with others (i.e., supervisors, buyer planners, etc.) to rectify problems, such as* ### damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications* ### Unpack, receive, and stock materials into storeroom location(s); Pack and ship materials in* ### accordance with contract requirements* ### Read work orders to determine material and equipment needs for production cell work* ### Issue critical materials to production cells* ### Respond to unplanned issues with internal customers in a timely manner* ### Aid and/or Backfill coworkers, as needed to complete daily tasks* ### Change part stocking methods to better facilitate production needs* ### Ensure compliance with export compliance rules* ### Assist with training new employees and cross training other materials associates* ### Capable of supporting more than one value stream* ### Any other task assigned by supervisor or management### Minimum Qualifications:* ### Experience: 3-6 years of relevant manufacturing experience; Previous experience working with manufacturing software tools* ### Knowledge: Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods; Familiar with lean principles; Understanding of continuous improvement tools* ### Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated outstanding manual dexterity; Demonstrated ability to concentrate on repetitive tasks; Demonstrated ability to accurately follow detailed work instructions; Demonstrated ability to understand standard work instructions; Demonstrated ability to solve routine problems; Math skills to perform basic calculations; Outstanding verbal communication skills; Proficient with MS Office* ### Education/Certification: High School diploma or equivalent### ### Preferred Qualifications:* ### Knowledgeable in the use of Microscopes### ### ### **Eligibility Requirement:**This position requires access to controlled data or information and therefore only US persons will be considered.
