Job summary

Dal-Tile Distribution, Inc. seeks a Warehouse Associate to pick, pack, and prepare SPC orders for shipping on the 1st shift.

You will operate sit-down forklifts and electric pallet jacks, and you will enter orders into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) while ensuring accuracy and safe handling. You must have a high school diploma or equivalent and 1+ year distribution/warehouse experience, with forklift certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have 1+ year distribution/warehouse experience and forklift experience.
• Dal-Tile certification to operate powered industrial trucks preferred.
• Strong communication and record-keeping skills; English required.

Responsibilities

• Picking orders and preparing SPC shipments.
• Operate sit-down forklift and other PIT equipment to assemble customer orders.
• Enter orders into Warehouse Management System (WMS) and verify stock.
• Convey picked orders to packing/shipping areas and ensure accuracy.
• Receive products, inspect, and place into correct warehouse locations.
• Putaway items and maintain a clean, safe work area.

Primary Objective

Packs, checks and prepares small package (SPC) orders for shipping.

Shift

• 1st: M-F, 7:00am-3:30pm

Responsibilities

• Picking

Operate powered industrial truck(s) to assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets.

Keys order into Warehouse Management System (WMS)

Verifies stock availability and audits orders for accuracy

Conveys picked orders to packing station or shipping areas

Receiving

• Receiving

Operates various powered industrial trucks to receive product into warehouse and prepare for stocking

Opens crates and inspects product

Applies labels to product according to establishing procedures

Verifies shading of product and places into accurate warehouse location

Putaway

• Putaway

Utilizespowered industrialequipment to move product into pre-designated areas within warehouse once received

Keys location of product into inventory control system and places product onto shelves

Ensures product is placed into accurate location

SPC Check/Pack Checking

• SPC Check/Pack Checking

Wraps and packs products by hand into boxes for shipping

Labels boxes with packing slip

Loads boxes into conveyor belt

Verifies orders for accuracy

General

Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor

Follows standard operating and safety procedures

Keeps area safe, clean, and organized

Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent

1 or more years previous distribution/warehouse experience. Must have a minimum of six months to 1 year of sit-downforklift. Reach truck, and OP experience.

Good oral and written communications skills. Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills. Accurate measurement capability. Ability to understand and speak English.

Ability to work in a safe conscientious manner.

Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
