Job summary

D&W Fine Pack in Fort Wayne, IN is hiring a Material Handler 1 to move material throughout the plant and warehouse, either by hand or using electric powered lifts. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and efficient material flow.

You will follow GMP and food-safety practices, read work orders, prepare pallets, label containers, and assist teammates to keep production running smoothly in a fast-paced packaging environment.

Qualifications

• Must follow PPE and GMP safety practices.
• Ability to read work orders and determine material needs.
• Comfort using manual lifts or electric powered lifts.
• Attention to accuracy when labeling and stacking.

Responsibilities

• Follow plant safety procedures and guidelines.
• Read work orders to determine work assignments.
• Move stock by hand or with equipment.
• Attach labels and identify containers.
• Secure material for transport with stretch-wrap.
• Assist others and support safety initiatives.
