Job summary

Dal-Tile Distribution, Inc. is seeking a warehouse associate to operate powered industrial trucks and support picking, receiving, putaway, and packing processes. You will log activities in the Warehouse Management System, verify stock, and ensure orders are accurate and ready for shipping.

The role requires 1+ year in distribution/warehouse work, forklift certification, and good communication and safety practices. This position is part of a team dedicated to accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years distribution/warehouse experience.
• Six months to 1 year experience with sit-down forklift, reach truck, and order picker.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to understand and speak English and work safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial trucks to assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets.
• Record orders into Warehouse Management System (WMS) and verify stock availability.
• Convey picked orders to packing station or shipping areas.

Primary Objective

Operates various powered industrial trucks to load and unload finished product in the shipping and receiving process.

Shift

• 2nd: M-F, 2:30pm-11:00pm

Equipment Knowledge

• Sit-Down Forklift
• Stand-Up/Reach Forklift
• Order Picker/Cherry Picker Forklift

Responsibilities

Picking

• Operate powered industrial truck(s) to assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets.
• Keys order into Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Verifies stock availability and audits orders for accuracy
• Conveys picked orders to packing station or shipping areas

Receiving

• Operates various powered industrial trucks to receive product into warehouse and prepare for stocking
• Opens crates and inspects product
• Applies labels to product according to establishing procedures
• Verifies shading of product and places into accurate warehouse location

Putaway

• Utilizespowered industrialequipment to move product into pre-designated areas within warehouse once received
• Keys location of product into inventory control system and places product onto shelves
• Ensures product is placed into accurate location

SPC Check/Pack Checking

• Wraps and packs products by hand into boxes for shipping
• Labels boxes with packing slip
• Loads boxes into conveyor belt
• Verifies orders for accuracy

General

• Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor
• Follows standard operating and safety procedures
• Keeps area safe, clean, and organized
• Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 or more years previous distribution/warehouse experience.
• Must have a minimum of six months to 1 year of sit-downforklift. Reach truck, and OP experience.
• Good oral and written communications skills.
• Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills.
• Accurate measurement capability.
• Ability to understand and speak English.
• Ability to work in a safe conscientious manner.
• Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
