Job summary

Dal-Tile, the tile and stone division of Mohawk Industries, invites you to join our Texas distribution team as a forklift operator.

Operate sit-down and reach forklifts, pick, pack, receive, and put away product; maintain accuracy in WMS. Requires High School diploma, 1+ year warehouse experience, forklift certification, and good English communication. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years distribution/warehouse experience.
• Six months to 1 year forklift experience (sit-down, reach, OP).
• Good oral and written communications.
• Good record keeping and listening skills.
• Accurate measurement ability.
• Ability to understand and speak English.
• Safe, conscientious working style.
• Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial trucks to assemble orders and palletize.
• Enter orders into Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Verify stock and audits for accuracy.
• Convey picked orders to packing/shipping areas.
• Receive products, inspect crates, label, and store properly.
• Putaway products into correct locations and update inventory.
• Wrap, pack, label, and load boxes for shipping.
• Monitor equipment and follow safety procedures.

Primary Objective

Operates various powered industrial trucks to load and unload finished product in the shipping and receiving process.

Shift

• 2nd: M-F, 2:30pm-11:00pm

Equipment Knowledge

• Sit-Down Forklift
• Stand-Up/Reach Forklift
• Order Picker/Cherry Picker Forklift

Responsibilities

Picking

• Operate powered industrial truck(s) to assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets.
• Keys order into Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Verifies stock availability and audits orders for accuracy
• Conveys picked orders to packing station or shipping areas

Receiving

• Operates various powered industrial trucks to receive product into warehouse and prepare for stocking
• Opens crates and inspects product
• Applies labels to product according to establishing procedures
• Verifies shading of product and places into accurate warehouse location

Putaway

• Utilizes powered industrial equipment to move product into pre-designated areas within warehouse once received
• Keys location of product into inventory control system and places product onto shelves
• Ensures product is placed into accurate location

SPC Check/Pack Checking

• Wraps and packs products by hand into boxes for shipping
• Labels boxes with packing slip
• Loads boxes into conveyor belt
• Verifies orders for accuracy

General

• Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor
• Follows standard operating and safety procedures
• Keeps area safe, clean, and organized
• Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 or more years previous distribution/warehouse experience.
• Must have a minimum of six months to 1 year of sit-down forklift. Reach truck, and OP experience.
• Good oral and written communications skills.
• Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills.
• Accurate measurement capability.
• Ability to understand and speak English.
• Ability to work in a safe conscientious manner.
• Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
