Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Material Associate I for our Texas manufacturing facility. The role focuses on routine material handling, kanban kit assembly, and maintaining inventory flow to production lines.

You may operate lifting equipment and read blueprints, with safety and accuracy as priorities. Responsibilities include stocking parts, logging movement, and supporting continuous improvement of warehouse safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years’ experience in material handling environment.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • May be required to operate scissor lift/cherry picker.
  • May be required to certify in PIT equipment.
  • May be required to read blueprints.
  • Basic computer knowledge required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide continuous supply of materials to production/assembly areas.
  • Kit materials on the production line to ensure parts are available at origin.
  • Pick parts from Kanban or storage areas and place into a bin.
  • Maintain correct part quantities to support production needs.
  • Keep Water Spider stocked at appropriate inventory levels.
  • Perform repetitive material supply tasks following guidelines.
  • Operate forklifts or hand trucks for delivery or picking.
  • Sort and count parts, log inventory.
  • Inspect parts for damages; report discrepancies.
  • Trace or track lost parts and supplies.
  • Maintain department database and routine reports.
  • Follow safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Document material movement using tablets.
  • Maintain a safe working environment per OSHA.
  • Perform other tasks to ensure asset utilization.
