Job summary

Siemens in Wendell, NC is seeking a Material Handler I for our 1st shift. You will move materials, receive, ship, store, pick, deliver and manage inventory using SAP and RF scanners, on a 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM schedule.

The role requires 3+ years in warehousing, forklift experience, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and legal US work authorization. High School diploma or GED preferred; SAP and MS Office experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in material management (warehousing).
• 2+ years’ experience driving forklift, order picker and stand up.
• Must be able to lift parts or sub-assemblies up to 50 lbs.
• Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate stand-up reach trucks, order pickers, and sit-down forklifts in high-traffic areas and narrow aisles, unloading and receiving production materials and recording them in SAP.
• Count and verify incoming materials in the storeroom and pick materials for internal and external customers using RF scanners with accuracy.
• Efficiently pack and ship materials, load outgoing shipments, and ensure proper documentation is provided to drivers.
• Proficient with small hand tools and safety procedures; follow established processes and seek improvements.
• Work independently with attention to detail and sense of urgency; perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
