Chesterton, based in Groveland, Massachusetts, is looking for a Material Handler I to join our manufacturing team. This role involves accurately processing intake, transfer, and storage of mechanical seal components. You will work on-site and contribute to inventory accuracy and material movement.

This job can be described as:
The Material Handler I is a frontline manufacturing position responsible for accurately processes the intake, transfer, and storage of all mechanical seal components and packaging in accordance with company procedures and expected time frames. This includes but is not limited to: performing computer transactions on manufacturing orders, putting stock away in defined inventory locations, pulling components for customer orders, and packing and shipping items as requested.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis. Ability to climb stairs on a regular basis. Ability to stand or walk during your shift on cement floors for a duration up to an hour. Ability to work and walk about in a manufacturing shop floor environment, wear required protective clothing, i.e., steel toe shoes and safety glasses. Ability to operate forklift.
