Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Dal-Tile division, is seeking an intermediate level Material Handler to join our team. The role involves stocking, checking, wrapping, and loading/unloading materials, and operating forklifts to pick orders.

Pay starts at entry rate with progression; shift is 1st, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Requires forklift certification and warehouse experience; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certified Sit-Down Forklift Operator is required.
• 1+ year distribution/warehouse experience is preferred.
• At least 6 months experience with stand-up forklift or order picker equipment.
• Pallet jack experience is not required.

Dal-Tile is currently seeking an intermediate level Material Handler to join our TEAM! As a material handler we need someone that is experienced in stocking, checking, wrapping, and loading and unloading materials.

Pay Rate: Entry Rate: $18.54 3-month Progression Increase: $19.66 Shift:1st Shift Monday - Friday. 8:00AM-4:30PM

Primary Objective

Operates various powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and conveys orders to packing station or shipping area.

Major Function and Scope

Performs a variety of warehouse duties such as pull/assemble customer orders, check outbound orders for accuracy/completeness, inventory stock checks, restock and label vendor product, maintain displays (tools, caulk, etc.), move, store, and replenish material, and conduct daily cycle counts. Performs receiving duties such as receive and unload inbound material, process inbound shipments, stock material, process customer returns and notify management of damaged shipments for freight claims. Operates forklift equipment. Maintains clean and organized facility by sweeping, trash removal, restroom and general office maintenance, etc. Maintains a safe working environment by obeying all safety rules as outlined in the Safety Program and by reporting all accidents, unsafe conditions and acts to Management. Performs other related duties as required.

Experience and Knowledge Required

• High School diploma or equivalent experience; Certified Sit-Down Forklift Operator.
• 1 or more years previous distribution/warehouse experience.
• Must have a minimum of 6 months previous stand-up forklift or order picker equipment experience.
• No experience required for pallet jack.
