Job summary

Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries, is seeking an intermediate-level Material Handler to join our team in Sunnyvale, TX. The role focuses on stocking, verifying, wrapping, and loading/unloading materials, with a starting entry rate of $18.54 per hour and a 3-month progression to $19.66 per hour.

Shift is 1st shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. As a Material Handler, you will operate powered industrial trucks to pick orders and transmit them to packing or shipping, perform receiving

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Sit-Down Forklift Operator.
• 1+ years of distribution/warehouse experience.
• Minimum 6 months standing forklift or order picker experience; pallet jack experience may not be required.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to understand and speak basic English.
• Dal-Tile certification to operate powered industrial trucks.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and convey orders to packing/shipping area.
• Pull/assemble customer orders and check outbound orders for accuracy and completeness.
• Stock, restock, label vendor products, and maintain displays; move and replenish material.
• Receive and unload inbound material; process inbound shipments and stock material.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility; report accidents or unsafe conditions.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Dal-Tile is currently seeking an intermediate level Material Handler to join our TEAM! As a material handler we need someone that is experienced in stocking, checking, wrapping, and loading and unloading materials.

Pay Rate:

• Entry Rate: $18.54
• 3-month Progression Increase: $19.66

Shift:1st Shift

• Monday - Friday.
• 8:00AM-4:30PM

Primary Objective:

Operates various powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and conveys orders to packing station or shipping area.

Major Function and Scope:

• Performs a variety of warehouse duties such as pull/assemble customer orders, check outbound orders for accuracy/completeness, inventory stock checks, restock and label vendor product, maintain displays (tools, caulk, etc.), move, store, and replenish material, and conduct daily cycle counts.
• Performs receiving duties such as receive and unload inbound material, process inbound shipments, stock material, process customer returns and notify management of damaged shipments for freight claims.
• Maintains clean and organized facility by sweeping, trash removal, restroom and general office maintenance, etc.
• Maintains a safe working environment by obeying all safety rules as outlined in the Safety Program and by reporting all accidents, unsafe conditions and acts to Management.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent experience; Certified Sit-Down Forklift Operator.
• 1 or more years previous distribution/warehouse experience.
• Must have a minimum of 6 months previous stand-up forklift or order picker equipment experience. No experience required for pallet jack.
• Good oral and written communications skills.
• Accurate measurement capability.
• Ability to understand and speak basic English.
• Ability to work in a safe and conscientious manner.
• Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
