GE HealthCare in Salt Lake City is seeking a Material Handler I to coordinate movement of raw materials, parts and finished goods. You will monitor inventory, input data into the material management system, and ensure sufficient materials to meet production schedules.
The role involves working closely with purchasing, production and warehousing teams. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma and forklift experience, with strong basic math and computer skills, plus the ability to lift up
The Material Handler I coordinates the transfer of raw materials, parts, and finished products between the source and final destination. Monitors material requirements and tracks movement with purchasing, production, and warehouses. Ensures material inventory levels are sufficient to meet production schedules or inventory requirements. Inputs data into a system or database to produce reporting and demand estimates. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. At our Salt Lake City site, engineering, research, and manufacturing teams come together to design and build surgical imaging technologies — including advanced C-arm imaging systems that support image-guided procedures for clinicians across the globe. The work here contributes to the precision and capability clinicians bring into the OR every day.
