Job summary

Amentum in Miami Lakes, FL is seeking a Material Handler for our 3rd shift forklift team. The role involves loading, unloading, shipping and receiving, and moving materials inside and outside the facility.

The position requires forklift experience, the ability to obtain forklift certification, and a valid driver's license. Weekend hours may be scheduled to support 24/7 operations, with Sunday-Thursday schedule on nights.

Amentum is seeking a Material Handler to join our team 3rd shift forklift team in Miami Lakes, FL!

• Typical work schedule is Sunday – Thursday, 10:30pm – 7:00am; hours may vary based on business demand.

• Weekend hours may be scheduled to support our 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities:

• Loading, unloading, shipping and receiving warehouse items.

• Transporting materials from one location to another inside and outside of facility.

• Maintain professional and courteous customer relations including client, vendor, and internal team.

• Actively participate in safety meetings. Maintain safety work practices as defined by Amentum

• Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.

• Must have previous forklift operation experience and be able to pass forklift certification.

• This position will require a valid Driver’s License.

Physical Requirements:

• Requires the ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.

• Requires the ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladders, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift.

• Requires the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitive during shift.

• Requires the ability to regularly kneel repetitive for shift.

• Requires the ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis for shift.

• Requires the ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis for shift.

• Requires the ability to walk extensively throughout the plant during shift.

• Requires the use of a Company/Client approved utility knife.

• Requires the ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.

• Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.

• Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience safely operating fork trucks in an industrial environment populated with pedestrians and materials.

Other Attributes:

• Must be willing to work overtime when required.May be required to work holidays and weekends.

Compensation Details:

$17.50
