Job summary

Ravelin Defense Inc. is seeking an entry-level Material Handler I responsible for pulling and delivering materials to support daily production schedules. The role includes receiving, stocking, and inventory verification, with emphasis on accuracy and timely material flow.

The position requires forklift certification, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Prior receiving or warehouse experience is preferred, along with ISO 9001:2015 knowledge and English proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Pull, issue, and move materials to support production schedules.
  • Receive and verify incoming materials; stock to bin locations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and assist with cycle counts.
  • Prepare kit production orders and packing/shipping as needed.
  • Communicate non-conformances to Quality and Production teams.
  • Keep records organized and maintain a clean 6S work area.

Job description

The Material Handler I is an entry level position responsible for Job pick tickets to pull, issue, and delivery materials to maintain work schedules, do return materials, troubleshoot problems, physical receiving check in, stock to Bin location, kit production orders, cycle counts, and packing/crating outside process / spare or finished goods. Responsibilities to ensure that our daily, weekly, and monthly goals are met. Will ensure inventory levels remain accurate and assist with physical inventory.Kit production orders per pick ticket or package finished goods in preparation for production, return materials, and prep for shipment, if necessary, with proper identification if GOP.Physically check-in and verification of incoming material to inventory stock to ensure counts, quantity, and part numbers are correct into a proper location.Physical movement of materials and finished goods to facilitate picking, and delivery to end user, receiving material to proper bin location, or material movement to external customers to support production / manufacturing.Establish and maintain interdepartmental relationships with Quality, Purchasing, Production, and Manufacturing to facilitate communication of information daily.Notify the Material Lead, Quality Supervisor, Quality Engineer, Supplier Quality Engineer, and the Production Supervisor if non-conforming equipment, materials, or sub-assemblies are detected. Assign/identify the suspected non-conforming part to prevent further use.Perform all facets of Material functions (issue, transfer, and move materials)Create and enter data into Excel spreadsheets for reporting purposes.Performs inventory Cycle Counts as required / or if needed to serve as back up.Support other manufacturing activities as required.Keep records and paperwork organized, filed correctly, and current.Maintain a clean and safe work environment, 6S area to ensure the proper care of machinery, equipment, material, and safety of fellow co-workersMinimum Requirements of Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:RequiredHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Able to pass forklift certification.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to stand for long periodsComputer skills required with knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel.Organizational and time management skillsAbility to cross-train in other areas is required.Ability to speak, read, and write in English.Ability to work independently with minimal guidance, follow directions.PreferredEpicor ERP/MRP knowledge is desirable1-yr recent receiving, inventory control, or warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment (Preferred).ISO 9001:2015 Standard knowledge desirable
