Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, is seeking a Material Handler in Camden, SC to support inbound/outbound material movements and warehouse tasks. You will load/unload, track orders, and maintain inventory accuracy to ensure smooth production flow.

Work with a team across shifts, perform 5S, and uphold safety/quality in all handling activities. Flexibility to cover others and pass forklift tests is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of forklift experience.
• Must maintain a current GE Appliances forklift license per EHS guidelines.
• Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive work ethic and dependability.
• Must follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must pass stand-up forklift, stock chaser, tugger and sit-down forklift tests and MEO fitness test.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading of shipments.
• Assist in comparing purchase orders with invoices, BOLs and packing list to ensure accuracy.
• Safe handling of all materials and finished goods.
• Organize and ensure received items are in the appropriate areas.
• Putting away of received material in correct storage locations.
• Accurate picking and line delivery of material timed per production needs.
• Assist in processing of returns for incorrect or non-conforming parts.
• Assist in conducting regular cycle counts.
• Assist in recycling material and waste in the warehouse.
• Perform regular material warehouse audits to ensure material is undamaged and neatly stored.
• Loading and unloading of Finished goods.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and 5S in all warehouse areas.
• Able to suggest operating improvements.
• Understand and carry out detailed oral/written instructions.
• Flexibility to cover other material handlers.
• Aid in managing storage and returns of returnable containers to suppliers.
• Notify supervisor or upper management of issues needing attention.
