Job summary

3M Newark - Dawson Warehouse is seeking a Material Handler to support production and shipping at the Newark, DE plant. The role involves operating powered industrial vehicles, receiving and staging materials, and ensuring accurate inventory and timely shipments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months of manufacturing/warehouse experience.
• Experience operating powered industrial vehicles (PIV).
• Experience in shipping, receiving, order picking or material movement.
• Basic computer skills to enter and verify inventory data.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely.
• Receive, move, pick, stage and prepare materials for production and shipments.
• Verify materials, quantities, packaging and shipping information.
• Perform shipping/receiving activities and report discrepancies.
• Record material movement using SAP, barcode scanners and other systems.
• Maintain inventory accuracy with cycle counts and routine checks.
• Ensure a clean, safe, organized work area following 5S and safety practices.
