Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a GWD Material Handler 1 to receive, store, and distribute materials and equipment, ensuring correct delivery and shipment. The position requires basic math, ability to read instructions and blueprints, and certified forklift operation.

Responsibilities include moving materials to use points, maintaining a clean workspace, and following safety and 5S practices in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in material handling or similar roles preferred.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and blueprints.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Knowledge of JDE Material Handler Menu is preferred.
• Certified forklift operator is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform work within takt/cycle time.
• Perform work per work instructions.
• Provide and process movement of material to point of use.
• Keep work area clean by disposing empty boxes and cardboard, and keep material around the assembly line neat.
• Inform proper personnel of material shortage.
• Check in and place materials from other cells.
• Operate forklift.
• Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area.
• Practice 5Ss
