Job summary

SilkRoad in Grand Ledge, Michigan is seeking a reliable Warehouse Operator to safely operate powered industrial trucks, load/unload materials, and maintain accurate inventory records. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to MIOSHA standards.

You will perform daily safety checks, assist in continuous improvement, keep work areas clean, and support departmental operations as directed by the supervisor. On-site training provided; good attendance and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate powered industrial trucks safely according to MIOSHA and company standards.
• Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
• Loads and unloads racks and/or containers onto trucks.
• Inventory materials on the work floor.
• Weighs material/products, records weight on tags, labels and/or production schedules.
• Ensures correct tagging is on all containers prior to moving.
• Performs all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment.
• Completes safety and operational checks daily.
• Helps in departmental operation wherever necessary.
• Keeps work areas clean and orderly.
• Participates in continuous improvement activities.
• Assumes other duties as directed by supervisor.

Responsibilities
