Job summary

HRforGrowth is assisting in recruiting a Material Handler for a client organization in Minnesota. The role focuses on moving, locating, and storing materials using powered equipment and requires a safety-conscious team player with warehouse/manufacturing experience.

The candidate should hold a forklift certification (or obtain it within 30 days), have a high school diploma or GED, and be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Prior warehouse experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or three years of relevant warehouse experience.
• Current forklift certification or ability to become certified within 30 days.
• Must be able to read and understand written and verbal instructions.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds alone and in a team-lift environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate power equipment safely, including forklift with certification.
• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare items for shipment.
• Complete paperwork and time-tracking documentation.
• Restock items not needed in the short term according to procedures.
• Assist with contacting freight couriers for pickups and deliveries.
• Label and prep items for shipment and load/unload trucks as needed.
• Update Warehouse Management System with transactions.
• Perform daily safety checks and battery charging procedures.
• Support teammates to meet customer expectations.
• Update supervisor on issues or concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Other tasks as assigned.
