Job summary

OMG Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to join our Illinois operations. You will read work orders, load/unload materials, and safely move items across warehouses using pallets and forklifts, while maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, understands safety rules and basic math, and can operate a warehouse management system. Forklift certification and teamwork are strongly preferred for this hands-on role supporting our manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals, and work orders.
• Good written and verbal communication, and basic math skills.
• Basic PC skills and ability to utilize a warehouse management system preferred.
• Forklift certified and experience operating a fork truck safely in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to contribute as part of a team.
• Positive attitude, good judgment, and excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote Safety as the Number One priority of all OMG employees.
• Read work orders or follow verbal instructions to ascertain material or containers to be moved.
• Properly load and unload material onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves.
• Safely convey material from storage or worksites to designated areas.
• Count, weigh, and/or record units of material.
• Remove and store excess materials and scrap as instructed.
• Maintain a neat and well-organized work area.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
