Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a Material Handler / Sit-Down Forklift Operator for our Dawsonville, GA warehouse. You will load/unload freight, stage inventory, feed production lines, and track stock movements using RF scanners.

Responsibilities

• Safe Equipment Operation: Operate sit-down forklifts in strict compliance with OSHA standards, maintaining speed control, load balance, and pedestrian awareness.
• Loading & Unloading: Safely transfer materials, pallets, and bulk freight on and off trailers, flatbeds, and shipping containers.
• Pre-Shift Safety Inspections: Conduct and document daily equipment checks before operating machinery.
• Order Picking & Staging: Retrieve, sort, and consolidate products accurately based on work orders or shipping manifests for on-time dispatch.
• Production Line Feeding: Transport raw materials, components, and packaging directly to assembly lines or work centers to prevent downtime.
• Barcode Scanning & Inventory Tracking: Scan items and log material movements using RF scanners and WMS.
• Inbound Freight Verification: Check incoming deliveries against packing slips and POs for damage and accuracy.
• Racking & Stacking: Move, elevate, and secure heavy loads into designated warehouse racks and staging locations.
• Aisle & Facility Maintenance: Keep travel lanes clear of debris to eliminate safety hazards.

Are you a skilled forklift operator who takes pride in precision, speed, and safety? We are seeking a dependable Material Handler / Sit-Down Forklift Operator to join our fast-paced warehouse team, where you will be responsible for loading and unloading freight, staging inventory, feeding production lines, and tracking stock movements using RF scanners. If you have at least one year of sit-down forklift experience, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to comfortably lift up to 50 lbs, we offer competitive hourly pay, great benefits, paid time off, and genuine opportunities to advance your warehouse career.

Salary: $19 - $19.01 per hour
Shift: First
Work hours: 6 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Safe Equipment Operation: Operate sit-down forklifts in strict compliance with OSHA standards, maintaining speed control, load balance, and pedestrian awareness.
• Loading & Unloading: Safely transfer materials, pallets, and bulk freight on and off trailers, flatbeds, and shipping containers.
• Pre-Shift Safety Inspections: Conduct and document daily equipment checks (brakes, hydraulics, fluid levels, steering, controls) before operating machinery.
• Order Picking & Staging: Retrieve, sort, and consolidate products accurately based on work orders or shipping manifests for on-time dispatch.
• Production Line Feeding: Transport raw materials, components, and packaging directly to assembly lines or work centers to prevent downtime.
• Barcode Scanning & Inventory Tracking: Scan items and log material movements accurately using RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Inbound Freight Verification: Check incoming deliveries against packing slips and purchase orders, inspecting for damage, count accuracy, and defects.
• Racking & Stacking: Move, elevate, and secure heavy loads into designated warehouse racks and staging locations.
• Aisle & Facility Maintenance: Keep high-traffic travel lanes clear of discarded pallets, wrapping, and debris to eliminate safety hazards.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
