Factory Material Handler

Primary Responsibilities

  • Load, organize, and unload building materials within and around the factory
  • Maintain a steady flow of inventory for CNC processing from generated lists
  • Work closely with CNC Leads to ensure efficient machine operation and material supply to factory operations
  • Operate relevant heavy equipment like forklifts
  • Take inventory of materials and notify Procurement if necessary
  • Utilize inventory and records software
  • Ensure safe handling of materials
  • Assist the team in building insulated walls, roofs, interior walls, and floors as needed

Skills and Qualifications

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to measure and identify different types of lumber
  • Experience with forklifts and machinery
  • Interest in learning high-quality, high-performance construction methods
  • Desire to learn with a positive attitude; teamwork is essential
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic with a can-do attitude
  • Computer literacy; familiarity with AutoCAD or similar programs is helpful
  • Hourly wage will be commensurate with experience
