Job summary

Vertiv seeks a reliable Material Handler to move, store, and distribute materials within our Pelzer manufacturing facility. You will support production by ensuring materials are available where and when needed, operating forklifts and scanners where required.

Responsibilities include inventory control, receiving shipments, stocking materials, and maintaining a clean, safe work area. You will collaborate with production and shipping teams to maintain efficient material flow.

Qualifications

• - Experience in a warehouse, distribution or manufacturing environment.
• - Forklift and pallet jack operation; certification a plus.
• - Basic computer or scanner skills for inventory tracking.
• - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• - Commitment to safety and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Material Movement: Transport materials to and from workstations, storage areas, or loading docks.
• Inventory Control: Track material movement using scanners or inventory systems; report discrepancies.
• Receiving & Stocking: Assist with receiving shipments and stocking materials.
• Kitting & Staging: Prepare materials for production based on work orders.
• Load & Unload: Safely load and unload trucks and containers.
• Safety & Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, hazard-free work area and follow safety policies.
• Team Collaboration: Communicate with production and warehouse teams to ensure material flow.
