Job summary

Aleron is seeking a Material Handler in Grand Rapids, MI for a 3-month temp-to-direct assignment in a manufacturing setting. The role focuses on delivering materials to workstations and maintaining uninterrupted workflow.

You will stage materials, manage Kanban signals, support quick changeovers, and help keep inventories accurate while promoting a safe and efficient work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, or material handling.
• 6+ months with MRP or ERP system experience.
• 6+ months of stockroom experience managing inventory.

Responsibilities

• Remove finished goods and empty containers from workstations and transport them to designated areas to maintain organized and efficient workspaces.
• Manage and monitor Kanban cards or visual signals to trigger timely material replenishment and maintain inventory levels at workstations.
• Assist with workstation setup activities, material staging, and quick changeovers to support efficient production cycles and minimize downtime.
• Stage materials and assist with workstation changeovers to support efficient production transitions and minimize delays.
• Maintain a consistent pace to ensure workstations are never idle.
• Report material shortages, damaged materials, safety concerns, or production disruptions to appropriate personnel to ensure timely resolution.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
