Job summary

YKK AP America Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to perform material handling duties within the FBZ department and support related plant tasks as needed. This role focuses on delivering materials, managing inventory, and ensuring accurate shipments in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The position requires reading pick lists, operating scanners and forklifts, and standing for long periods. Candidates must be able to lift 20+ pounds and maintain safety standards throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, understand, and execute daily pick lists.
• Counts and examines items for conformance to company specifications.
• Verify accuracy of inventory by count, location and item.
• Operate handheld scanners or tablets and perform transactions.
• Operate a side loader and reach truck.
• Unload & examine incoming shipments and note discrepancies.
• Load materials onto pallets by hand.
• Communicate effectively with fellow employees.
• Must lift in excess of 20 pounds.
• Stand for a minimum of eight hours.
• Operate a stand up side loader or reach truck to move materials.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to various locations within the plant in a timely manner.
• Support inventory control including picking, receiving, stocking, and delivery to correct destinations.
• Read and follow daily pick lists for workflow.
• Communicate issues and coordinate with team members to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain safety best practices and keep work area clean and organized.
