Job summary

GXO Logistics is seeking a Warehouse Associate in New York for a 1st shift role (7:00am–3:30pm). The role involves moving material, using hand trucks and scanners, packing and counting products, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Pay starts at $20.50/hour with comprehensive benefits. Applicants should be at least 18, able to perform basic math, read safety and procedure documents, and ideally have 1 year in a warehouse setting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, with and without a calculator.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedural documents.
• 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including possible overtime when needed.
• Experience using a handheld scanner.

The hourly pay rate for this is $20.50. GXO, in good faith, believes this is the pay rate for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted rate and this rate is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York . This rate may be modified in the future. What you’ll do on a typical day:

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• To be at least 18 years of age
• The ability to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedural documents

It’d be great if you also have:

• 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including possible overtime when needed
• Experience using a handheld scanner
• Positive attitude and the ability to work in a team to achieve goals and objectives

This job requires the ability to:

• Lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 lbs.
• Stand, sit or walk for prolonged periods of time
• Bend, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull
• Handle or manage tools or equipment
• Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
