Ideal candidates have 2+ years in material handling or logistics, a valid driver license (CDL preferred), and forklift certification (preferred). This is a non-exempt, full-time position offering opportunities to grow within a safety‑driven team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience within a Material Handling/Logistics and/or Inventory position required.
• Previous experience within utility construction preferred.
• Valid driver license with the ability to drive a company vehicle required (CDL strongly preferred).
• Forklift Certification strongly preferred (ability to obtain within 90 days of hire required).
• High School diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Move materials, tools, and equipment within yard/warehouse, including loading and unloading.
• Collaborate with internal crews and subcontractors to meet material needs.
• Safely operate forklift and other equipment.
• Deliver materials to active project sites as requested.
• Maintain knowledge of materials to ensure accurate issuing of equipment.
• Adhere to material and equipment tracking standards.
• Maintain yard and shop cleanliness and assist with related tasks.
• Support management in pricing materials and equipment when requested.
• Lead by example in safety practices and participate in safety initiatives.
• Perform other duties as required.

ADB is seeking a Material Handler to provide general handling, tracking and organization support of various utility construction materials and equipment within a warehouse and/or construction yard setting. This position directly supports construction operations teams with all material loading/unloading, organization, shop cleanliness, yard maintenance, etc. The ideal candidate will be customer and quality centric, have a complete buy-in to safety, with a strong work ethic, and ALL IN attitude to achieve results.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs general manual labor moving materials, tools, and equipment within a construction yard and/or warehouse environment including loading, unloading, organizing, etc.
• Strong relationship skills to be a dependable partner to internal crews and external subcontractors for all their material/equipment needs
• Ability to safely operate a forklift, backhoe, and/or other various equipment
• Upon request, delivers various construction materials, tools and/or equipment onsite to active project sites
• Has general knowledge and experience of various utility construction materials to ensure accuracy on issuing out equipment
• Adheres to all material and equipment tracking standards and expectations
• Maintains yard and shop cleanliness that could include; trash pickup, mowing, weed eating, shoveling, sweeping, office cleaning, etc.
• Upon request, can support the management teams on gathering pricing of various materials, tools and/or equipment
• Safety is the expectation; complete buy-in and adherence to the safety culture and expectations by leading by example and actively participating in pre-task, good catch and safety assessment standards within the organization
• Performs other position duties when requested

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions like sitting, squatting, standing, walking, climbing, etc.
• May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels while onsite
• This is a safety sensitive position; when working on site, will be required to wear common protective of safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel toed boots.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

• 2+ years of experience within a Material Handling/Logistics and/or Inventory position required

The starting pay for this position is $17/hr and may vary based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
