Job summary

Reliable Automatic Sprinkler Co. in Bloomingdale, IL, is seeking a Material Handler to join our Distribution Center Operations team.

This full-time role stores, ships, receives, and replenishes finished goods to fire sprinkler contractors by various carriers. The ideal candidate can operate forklifts and warehouse equipment, perform daily inspections, and maintain accurate records while providing excellent service to Will-Call customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Ship and receive at a distribution center.
• Scan barcodes with handheld scanner to deliver materials to target location within the warehouse.
• Operate forklift, lift truck, side loaders, pallet trucks, picker and other loading/stacking equipment.
• Complete and maintain daily forklift inspections reports.
• Assist Will-Call customers in a courteous and helpful manner.
• Report any deficiencies in inventory, equipment, safety issues, or concerns to the Warehouse or Operations Supervisor.
• Report backorders to the Customer Service Department.
• Promote a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner in compliance with rules and PPE.
• Performs other duties as directed.
